41 Years Ago Today
Dwaine and I brought the most wonderful child into the World. Little did we know that we would be writing a blog so many years later about her, and now her family. We remember so many things about her, from her being torn from our arms (with all of us in tears) at the Day Care Church in Downtown Dallas, feeding a baby rabbit with her Papaw in Gatesville, holding her Meemaw's tiny light and singing, This Little Light of Mine, drill team tryouts (we almost did not survive that but she was fine), being a beautiful but sometimes trying teen (a rite, not right, of passage), a beautiful wedding to a wonderful man, and becoming a mother to two amazing children. More than all of that, she has become the most wonderful Christian, walking with God in all she does. Are we proud? Oh, yes, I guess it shows. But as all parents say with their adult children, "she's still our baby girl."

Celebrating America's Birthday

We had great family time with our daughter and family. While Zach chased flies (the pesty variety), Olivia helped in the kitchen. They both put together some delectable fruit kabobs for lunch. Special company from Longhorn ate with the host and hostess in the dining room while Nana and Papa (that would be us), enjoyed dinner with the grandkids. Photos below chart the day !
